April 18, 2024 we met at Whiskeys on the Water.  Jim Hartigan of Turner Electric presented to 21 members on the new code requirements in NFPA-70B Electrical Maintenance.

 

There was no “Best Recruiter” prize of $50.00, as our new member Geno Ventimiglia joined by finding us online; please welcome him when we next meet.

 

For all meetings in 2024 the Member who brings the most new members to the meeting will receive a “Best Recruiter” prize of $50.00.

 

Remaining 2024 Meeting Schedule

May 16, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Bakers of Milford:  Craig Koch VP of Engineering from Hydro Reserve, Wahaso, will be talking about Degassing with Hollow Fiber Technology. This is being used for Decarbonization, especially in high pressure boiler after mixed beds or demineralizers; removing Oxygen and other gasses as needed.  It is technology used in Hospitals to control blood gasses in major surgeries. It is used in the beverage industry as well.

June 20, 2024: No meeting scheduled.

July 26, 2024, 7:00 am (Shotgun Start 8:30 am) @ Mystic Creek: 34^th (can you believe it?) Annual Golf Outing.  Please reach out to the Board if you have swag to offer up as door prizes!  This event is our largest source of funding for the year; hope to see you all there! Note tickets are now available for purchase; as of today we have 17 foursomes signed up.

August 2024:  No meeting, summer break.

September 19, 2024:  Facility Tour TBD.  If you would like to host a tour of your facility, please reach out to the Board at [email protected].

October 17, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Bakers of Milford:  Armstrong International presenting on Steam Trap testing.

November 8, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Weber’s Inn, Ann Arbor: Executive Board meeting.  Note this is Friday, as requested.  This meeting is for the current Board and all past presidents.  One item for this meeting is approval of nominees for the new Board member, who will be an Engineer member.  If you would like to be considered or have someone to nominate, please speak to us before the end of October!

November 11, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Whiskeys on the Water:  Camfil presenting on tool, tech and updates for air filtration.  In addition to the presentation, all Members present will vote on any nominees for the 2025 Sergeant at Arms approved by the Executive Board.

December 2024:  No meeting, holiday break.
