December 2024 SEMPPES President’s Message

Welcome December and the Cold Full Moon (aka Long Night Moon) 12/15/2024.

We met November 21, 2024 at Whiskeys on the Water.  We had 19 attendees for a great presentation on Tools, Tech and Updates on Air Filtration from Tim McCullum, Camfil.

We approved Miles Selfridge for our new Sergeant at Arms by unanimous vote.  Welcome, Miles!

This is my last President’s Message, as Tom Burgess has relieved me and will be the President in 2025.  It has been my great honor to serve, and my great pleasure spending time with all of you.  I will continue to see you at meetings going forward and am happy to take on the title of “Past President.”

2025 Memberships are available now; please renew your membership.  There was no price increase over last year!

Calendar of Events

Remaining 2024 Meeting Schedule

For all meetings in 2024 the Member who brings the most new members to the meeting will receive a “Best Recruiter” prize of $50.00.

November 8, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Weber’s Inn, Ann Arbor: Executive Board meeting.  Note this is Friday, as requested.  This meeting is for the current Board and all past presidents.  One item for this meeting is approval of nominees for the new Board member, who will be an Engineer member. 

November 21, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Whiskeys on the Water:  Camfil presenting on tool, tech and updates for air filtration.  In addition to the presentation, all Members in attendance will vote on any nominees for the 2025 Sergeant at Arms approved by the Executive Board.
