February 15, 2024 saw our first meeting of the year at Whiskeys on the Water. Derek Sale and Brian Frank (DJ Conley) presented to 25 members on Trends in Decarbonization and the Role of Electric Boilers.
February was Past President’s Recognition month. We were pleased to honor these Past Presidents in attendance:

· Fred Reddig (2019)
· Ed Kachadoorian (2022)
· Doug Klingensmith (2022)
For all meetings in 2024 the Member who brings the most new members to the meeting will receive a “Best Recruiter” prize of $50.00.
Remaining 2024 Meeting Schedule
March 21, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Bakers of Milford: Trane will provide discussion on the Inflation Reduction Act and how it can help with funding some or all of a project the pertains to HVAC and energy savings.
April 18, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Whiskeys on the Water: Turner Electrical Services will provide a guide to:
· NFPA® 70B, Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance
· Details of preventive maintenance for electrical systems
· Electrical, electronic, and communication systems
· Equipment in industrial, institutional, commercial, and large residential buildings.
May 16, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Bakers of Milford: Hone Engineering will present on Dissolved Gas control.
June 20, 2024: No meeting scheduled. We are considering a special event for those interested and will communicate out details when we have them.
July 26, 2024, 7:00 am (Shotgun Start 8:30 am) @ Mystic Creek: 34th (can you believe it?) Annual Golf Outing. Please reach out to the Board if you have swag to offer up as door prizes! This event is our largest source of funding for the year; hope to see you all there!
August 2024: No meeting, summer break.
September 19, 2024: Facility Tour TBD. If you would like to host a tour of your facility, please reach out to the Board at [email protected].
October 17, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Bakers of Milford: Armstrong International presenting on Steam Trap testing.
November 8, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Weber’s Inn, Ann Arbor: Executive Board meeting. Note this is Friday, as requested. This meeting is for the current Board and all past presidents. One item for this meeting is approval of nominees for the new Board member, who will be an Engineer member. If you would like to be considered or have someone to nominate, please speak to us before the end of October!
November 11, 2024, 4:30 pm @ Whiskeys on the Water: Camfil presenting on tool, tech and updates for air filtration. In addition to the presentation, all Members present will vote on any nominees for the 2025 Sergeant at Arms approved by the Executive Board.
December 2024: No meeting, holiday break.
